Trek into the woods - Bath

Shane's mate Chris invited to take us into the woods in the outskirts of Bath for a campfire and drinks. We jumped at the idea. However we didn't know we were going to have to trek through miles and miles of snow and mountains to get there. It had been snowing for 2 days which made the experience 10 times better. The ground was completely covered and was super slippery. Luckily I bought some big boots that morning as my toes were about to fall off from the cold.

Getting the fire started wasn't to difficult.

Break time. The abandoned mine and Shane killing stuff.

Deep in thought....when will the mulled wine be ready!!

We kind of got lost but after a while Chris found his bearings and got us to our destination - an abandoned Limestone mine. Perfect spot for a fire. He came prepared with breads, wine, apples and spices to make mulled wine. Genius! He also brought a saw so we could get a serious fire cranking..and we did. It was about -5 that night so we needed as much heat as possible. Later in the night some of his friends joined us. They brought several bongo/samba drums, and other samba instruments so we jammed out while getting super drunk. We trekked home at about 1:30am and arrived back at Shane's at around 5am. I woke up with aches and pains and massive bleeding blisters but it was worth it. It was an amazing experience! Hope we get to do it again soon. Thanks Chris!
