Woodenbong weekend..

The boys and I decided to pack our shit and head out for a dusty weekend in the New South Wales Rural Hinterland area of Woodenbong. It's a beautiful small rural town that's popular for it's amazing mountains and scenery and also for the endless motorbike trails and hectares of secluded camping spots. We stayed at the Woodenbong hotel for $15 a night including brekky. Can't go wrong; cheap beer, bed and food.

New Toy..

The new toy arrived yesterday. Canon 50D with 28-135mm lens. Very excited. The camera is amazing. From previously using a Nikon D80, this thing shits all over it. I decided to get the biggest memory I could as I don't plan on upgrading this machine for a while, maybe just purchase some lenses down the track. I also ordered a wireless remote control for astronomy photography. Something I've always wanted to delve into after seeing my Dad's work from years ago.

This will be my new travel buddy as I'm about to embark on a trip to Thailand, Singapore, UK, France, Italy and wherever from there on in. So I'm busy reading up on all of the functions and doing online tutorials to get up to scratch before I leave.

I hope to do some astro photography when I head down to Woody Head/Iluka this month. There's not much light pollution down there so it should be good fun.

Plenty of adventures ahead. Hopefully it can keep up!
